Providing a hopeful future to the orphans in Madagascar.

Since 2015 Perle Orphanage has been providing a safe home for orphaned children in Madagascar. We offer the children the loving care, dignity and the foundations they need to build a hopeful future. We are committed to show them in practical ways how loved and cherished by God they are.

The Perle Orphanage

Madagascar is one of the 10 poorest countries in the world, and 10% of the children population are orphans (910,000 out of 9.5 million).

More than 81% of the population lives on less than $2.15 a day.

It is common to see children as young as four years old living alone on the streets, where they become vulnerable to sex trafficking.

From the age of 8, many are forced to work more than 12 hours a day just to survive.

Why?

Providing a Christian Education

We provide the children with a Christian education centered on the love of Jesus, we teach them hygiene, discipline, and good manners.

  • Daily prayer times at 5 a.m. and 6 p.m

  • Safe housing with separate dormitories for girls and boys

  • Food, medical care, and daily hygiene support

  • A peaceful living environment in the heart of the mountains

  • Full schooling at Eden Park School

  • Artistic, sports, and cultural activities

  • Evangelism outings and missionary projects

  • Psychological, spiritual, and educational support

Results

Thanks to the care, education, and support they received, many of the children have grown into independent adults, built stable lives, married, and started families of their own. Others have secured employment and are now experiencing opportunities and a quality of life they once never thought possible.

What we do

In 2015, we launched Perle Orphanage in Ampefy, in central Madagascar. Today, 33 children are cared for there 24/7. We take in children who have lost one or both parents or who are living in extreme situations.

Widowed mothers are employed to care for the children and also live on-site with them, providing care, stability, and dignity.

The children see themselves as one big family: they know Jesus is their Father, and they learn to love one another as brothers and sisters.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
